I'm currently using an RTX 2070 paired with a Ryzen 5800X and 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM. I'm trying to figure out my next upgrade. Would it be better to go for the Ryzen 5800X3D with a 9070 XT, or should I upgrade to AM5 and get the 9800X3D? Just to note, my main game is CS2!

Your 5800X is capable of delivering over 300 FPS, so unless you’ve got a super high-refresh monitor, I'd keep your current CPU. Instead, invest in a better GPU, like the 9070 XT. The 5800X3D is a bit pricey right now. If you're looking for more longevity, then consider the 9800X3D, but keep in mind that it won't really benefit much from a 2070.
Going with AM5 means you’ll also need new RAM, so I'd recommend sticking with AM4 for the time being. Save some cash and upgrade the GPU instead.
For CS2 players, the 5800X3D is a cost-effective and smart choice unless you're planning on a complete system upgrade. Just focus on that GPU for now!
If you're mainly playing CS2 with competitive settings, sticking with the 5800X and focusing on GPU upgrades might be the way to go for you. The 5800X3D or 5700X3D could suffice without worrying about the GPU just yet.
