I've got a gaming machine that's about ten years old but still serves me well, even if I'm not playing too many AAA titles. Here's what I'm working with:
- Corsair Ax1200i 1200W 80+ Platinum PSU (should handle a 2080, right?)
- Intel i7-3770K, 4-core, overclocked to 4.1GHz
- Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz
- ASUS Sabertooth Z77 motherboard
I'm considering upgrading to an RTX 2080 Ti I found on eBay for $270. Is it worth it, or will my CPU bottleneck the performance? I'm gaming at 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'd suggest upgrading your CPU first. Something like an AMD 5600X or an AM5 chip would really boost your performance. But keep in mind, it might end up costing you more than just the $270 for the graphics card. If you’re planning a full build later, maybe hold off for now.
Yeah, I'm thinking about a whole new setup when I fully retire this machine. For now, I want to see if a GPU upgrade could help with games like Kingdom Come Deliverance to increase my FPS to a solid 60. So, this upgrade could be a temporary solution.
