Hey everyone! I usually know my way around PC builds, but I'm hoping to get some advice here. I've had my PC for a few years now and I'm considering whether to upgrade its components or start fresh with a new build. I'm currently on the AM4 socket and I'm okay with that for now. Here's what I'm working with:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 4560G
- Mainboard: Asus Prime A520M-K
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 Dual Channel (2x8) 3200MHz
- GPU: GeForce RTX 2060 (12GB)
- Power Supply: 500W
I'm starting to feel like my PC might not hold up for newer games in the long run. What do you think? Should I just upgrade specific parts or go for a completely new system? Thanks for your help!

If you're happy with the AM4 setup, I wouldn't rush to upgrade everything. Your current parts can still hold up for a bit. Focus on the GPU first; it's where you'll see the most improvement for gaming. Maybe look into getting at least 12GB of VRAM for your graphics card. Also, consider bumping your RAM to 32GB if you're playing heavier titles. This setup still has life left in it, especially if you stick to 1080p gaming.
I just went through an upgrade myself and it was almost like a puzzle—lots of parts didn't fit as expected due to compatibility issues! My advice? If your PC does what you need it to now, hold off on a new build until you're in more need of upgrades. By waiting, you can see what's released in the future and get a better deal.
Thanks for that! I was thinking the GPU upgrade would be the most impactful too.
