Hey everyone! I'm currently using a 500 GB SSD for my Windows OS, software, and some games, but I'm running out of storage space. I want to upgrade to 1 TB. My hardware includes a Gigabyte H270-Gaming 3 motherboard and a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB. I have one slot left for a new drive. Should I go with a 2.5" SSD or opt for an M.2 SSD? My main concern is heat management. What would you recommend in terms of the best choice and brand? Thanks in advance!

I'd definitely recommend going for an M.2 SSD. They're smaller, more energy-efficient, and way faster than the traditional 2.5" SSDs because they utilize the PCIe interface. If your budget allows it, check out the Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD—it's a great option with high performance for around $130. It'll fit perfectly in the PCIe slot on your motherboard!
I had some concerns about M.2 overheating, especially since one of the slots is under my graphics card. Is it still the best option for storage? Also, if I find the prices similar, should I consider the Samsung 990 Pro, or does it run hotter?
