Should I Upgrade My WiFi Card for Better Speed?

I'm in a bit of a bind with my current setup. I have a Realtek 8851BE WiFi card, which seems okay, but when I try to use WiFi 5 or 6 speeds, my router just crashes and shuts down the entire network. Currently, I'm getting around 100 Mbps up and down, which works for most things, but my older PC can hit 350 Mbps without any issues. I'm considering upgrading to a new WiFi card for better speed and compatibility. I've seen the Intel AX210 WiFi card mentioned, and it should technically work with my system. However, I'm worried it might cause the same network issues as my current card. I'd really appreciate any advice on this situation since I'm quite unsure of what to do. Thanks!

I’ve had the AX210 on a couple of motherboards and I really don't like it. The Bluetooth keeps disconnecting every time it wakes from sleep and I have to reboot to get it working again. Super frustrating!

Just a thought, but have you checked your power management settings for the AX210? Go to Device Manager, find your card, and see if ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ is unchecked. It might help, but I’m not sure if it’s the solution you need.

Have you thought about just changing your router or access point? Sometimes it's not the WiFi card but the router that can cause these issues.

Sounds more like an issue with your router instead of the WiFi card. Maybe try some troubleshooting on it.

It’s odd though since this card is the only device acting up. My phones, TVs, and other PCs connect just fine without problems.
