Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my PC setup and I'm currently using a 12700K processor along with a 3070 GPU. I'm thinking about switching my GPU to either a 9070XT or a 7900XTX, but I'm also contemplating a CPU upgrade. Should I go with the 14900K, switch to an AMD option like the 9950X or one of the 3D chips, or just keep my current CPU? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Just putting this out there, with the 14900K, you might only see about a 25% boost in gaming performance. Your 12700K is still a strong contender, especially if you’re running games at higher resolutions.
That's true! And with the pricing of new motherboards, it might not be worth it if you ask me.
If you do decide to upgrade, I recommend looking into AMD. I switched from Intel due to some instability issues and it was the best choice I made. The 9950X3D beats the 14900K in benchmarks and is a powerhouse for gaming!
Totally agree! Plus, with AMD, you have a better upgrade path in the future.
AMD has been crushing it lately. I'd go their route if I were you!
I think the best bet is to hold onto that 12700K! Unless you’re doing heavy editing or streaming, it's more than adequate. And if you're gaming at 2K or higher, a GPU upgrade is where you should focus your funds!
Spot on! Upgrade your GPU first and see how it performs before deciding on the CPU.
Definitely! Waiting for a bit to see how new parts perform is smart.
From my experience, the Intel 12th gen is still good but has its issues, especially with power management. If you decide on AMD, just be aware you will need a new motherboard.
Right, and honestly, once you swap over, it’ll feel like a breathe of fresh air.
Exactly! AMD has a smoother experience overall. No regrets!
Honestly, if you're mostly playing games at 1080p or higher, your 12700K is doing just fine. Unless you're into competitive gaming, there's really no rush to upgrade. It's a solid chip!
Exactly! Unless you're seeing specific bottlenecks, you're good with what you've got.
Yeah, keep it! Upgrading for the sake of it can be a waste.
Yeah, stick with what you have! Use that cash for a better GPU instead.
