Should I upgrade to a 5060 Ti or splurge on a 5070 Ti?

I'm looking to retire my old 2060 and have narrowed it down to two upgrade options: the ZOTAC 5060 Ti 16GB Icestorm 2.0 or the Asus Prime 5070 Ti 16GB. While I know the 5070 Ti outperforms the 5060 Ti, I'm based in LATAM and face additional costs due to taxes and limited stock. Pricing is approximately $463.51 for the 5060 Ti and $812.25 for the 5070 Ti, which makes the latter nearly twice as expensive. Considering I usually game on a 3440x1440 setup and my games are on the older side, I'm uncertain if the performance boost from the 5070 Ti justifies the cost. What do you all think? Additionally, I found the RX 9070 XT Asus Prime for about $610, and the monthly financing for the 5070 Ti and 9070 XT would be similar, so it's manageable budget-wise. I'd appreciate any advice on whether I should go for the cheaper option or invest more for potentially better performance.

For the kind of resolution you're using (3440x1440) and the fact you have a decent setup already, I wouldn't go for the 5060 Ti. It’ll likely be a step back from what you have with your 2060. Either the 5070 Ti or the 9070 XT is a better choice if you want smooth gameplay.

Honestly, if you're mostly playing older games and just want to experience a performance improvement, the 5060 Ti might still be worth considering due to its price. But if you want something future-proof and are willing to spend, the 5070 Ti is where the real performance lies. Just make sure your PSU can handle it!

Definitely check the PSU. You don't want to end up underwhelmed because of power issues!

Agreed! A solid PSU is key, especially if you're looking to upgrade significantly.

If budget isn’t a huge concern, the 5070 Ti is going to deliver a better gaming experience overall. However, if you're on a budget and can get good FPS with the 9070 XT, then that's the way to go. Just remember, performance isn’t just about the GPU - your whole setup needs to work together!

Given your situation, I'd say grab the 9070 XT for around $610. It's a solid card and should match the performance of the 5070 Ti while saving you some cash. The 5060 Ti might be tempting at that price, but it's likely going to struggle with the higher resolution you're using. Plus, AMD cards have been pretty reliable lately without major driver issues, so it's a win-win!
