I'm currently using an ASUS STRIX-GTX1070-O8G that I bought back in 2016. It still runs well, but I've noticed it's struggling with newer games. I'm considering upgrading my entire setup, including CPU, motherboard, and RAM, along with the GPU.
I'm leaning towards the 5070 but I'm concerned about its 12 GB of VRAM. I want to make sure my new GPU will be future-proof, just like my 1070 has been. I play games at 1440p and in Italy, the 5070 is priced around €620, while the 5070 Ti is about €880 (though I've seen it for €820 recently). I'm also looking into upgrading my CPU to something like a Ryzen 9600x with the intention of upgrading to a more powerful model down the line. What do you all suggest?

Honestly, unless you really need Nvidia features, consider saving some cash and looking at alternatives. If you're not locked into Nvidia's ecosystem, there might be better options for performance versus price.
If your budget allows, definitely invest in the 5070 Ti. The extra VRAM is going to be a lifesaver as new games come out and start demanding more.
I just got the 5070 Ti, and I think it's a smart choice for future-proofing. VRAM tends to be a limiting factor, especially if you want to enjoy the latest games at their best settings. Also, consider an X3D CPU for better gaming performance!
Choose whichever card is closer to its MSRP. Prices can fluctuate a lot, so keep an eye out for sales!
I definitely recommend going for the 5070 Ti. It has more VRAM, which will help with longevity and performance in the future.
Totally agree! The extra VRAM will be really useful for high settings.
Yeah, I plan to upgrade my CPU eventually as well.
