I've got a gaming setup with a Ryzen 7 7700, an RTX 4070 Super, and 32GB of 5600MHz RAM on a TUF B650 Plus WiFi motherboard. My concern is with the 1% lows while gaming at 2K resolution. In Valorant, I can hit around 400fps uncapped, but my 1% lows can dip as low as 60fps. For open-world games like Forza Horizon 5, I average about 120fps, but I've seen those lows drop to the 20s, although that's rare. I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, selling my current CPU for about $175 and getting the new one for around $330-350. I'm just trying to ensure that this upgrade will actually solve my performance issues before I make such a costly change.

That sounds unusual for your setup. If others aren't experiencing similar drops, you might want to try reinstalling Windows. Make sure you've updated all your drivers, including motherboard and GPU. And yes, definitely check if DOCP/XMP is enabled after any BIOS updates. If you've done all that and still have issues, then upgrading the CPU could be the right move!
First things first, make sure you have DOCP/XMP enabled in your BIOS to get the most out of your RAM. It can really help with stability and performance. Don't roll the dice with your hardware settings without checking that first!
I've updated almost everything except the BIOS and the DOCP/XMP settings. What’s the easiest way to enable that?
