Should I Upgrade to AM4 or AM5 for My PC Build?

Hey everyone! I'm currently working with an older Intel setup that has an AM3 motherboard, paired with a 1660 Super graphics card. I've got two options that I'm considering for an upgrade. The first is a budget build with an AM4 setup including a Ryzen 7 5700X3D for about €724. The second option is an AM5 build that costs slightly more at €852.49. My current graphics card is pretty outdated, but for now, I mainly play CS2, and it's doing fine. I'm trying to decide if I should go for the AM5 even though my graphics card is low-end or if I should stick with AM4. Additionally, I want to know if the AM5 will perform better long-term and if the components I have in mind will support a future GPU upgrade. My friend suggested that the AM5 is a smart choice for saving money in the long run, but I'm not sure. Would love your insights!

I'd say AM5 is the way to go! But I couldn't check out the build details as the link didn't work for me. Could you share it again?

I'd recommend going with AM5. It offers better longevity with DDR5 RAM and more future-proof chips. The 7800X3D or 9800X3D are pretty good options too! You'll also be more set for when you're ready to upgrade your GPU later on. It's worth the extra cost for the AM5 build.
