Should I Upgrade to Ryzen 7 5700X3D or Stick with 5700X?

I'm in a bit of a dilemma trying to decide between the Ryzen 7 5700X3D and the standard 5700X CPU. The 5700X3D is priced at $260, and I'm not sure if that's a fair price, while the 5700X is more budget-friendly at $156—almost a $100 difference! Given the benchmarks I've seen, the performance boost in gaming with the X3D seems significant. I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 2700X and planning to stick with my next CPU for a while, which makes me wonder if the extra investment in the 5700X3D is worth it. My birthday is coming up too, so I might have some extra cash to spend on this! Just to give context, I'm using an RTX 2070 Super GPU with a 1080p, 144Hz monitor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What GPU are you using? If you're gaming at 1080p, the X3D is gonna perform well, especially with your current RTX 2070 Super setup. Just something to consider while making your choice!

I'm using a RTX 2070 Super and gaming at 1080p, which is why I want the best CPU I can get.

Definitely go for the 5700X3D! It's a whole generation ahead and will give you a huge boost in gaming performance. If you're not planning any more upgrades for a long time, this is a solid investment.
