Should I Upgrade to Windows 11 with an Unsupported CPU?

I recently got a new PC that runs on Windows 10. I'm considering upgrading to Windows 11 but I've heard that my CPU, an Intel i7-7700K, isn't technically supported for this upgrade even though it meets the minimum requirements. I'm worried about messing up my computer if I proceed. I'm also on a tight budget and don't want to spend money on a new CPU since mine is still working fine. Can anyone help me with:

- Whether it's a good idea to upgrade?
- How to go about it?
- Any important things I should be aware of?

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to computing, so any advice would be appreciated!

I recommend using RUFUS to create a bootable USB drive for Windows 11. It's pretty straightforward—just about 6 clicks and you're on your way!

You could download the Windows 11 ISO and then use RUFUS. Make sure to turn off the CPU check, TPM, and secure boot checks during the boot process. It should work well!

The i7-7700K is as good as it gets for that socket, so you can't really upgrade beyond this CPU. But yes, you can still install Windows 11 with some tweaks! Some users suggest installing the LTSC version of Windows 11, which could work better for you. It’s a lighter version.

Or you might want to consider switching to Linux instead! It could save you from all the hassle of unsupported software.
