I've got 4 sticks of 32GB 6000MHz Corsair Dominator RAM totaling 128GB, and I'm curious about the best setup for my system performance. Should I stick with all four sticks or go with just two and use dummy sticks? I'd love to hear your thoughts on what would provide the best performance and stability in this scenario!

Running four sticks can be tricky. You might not hit that 6000MHz speed you're aiming for without some manual tweaking. It really depends on your CPU's memory controller and luck. If you already have the sticks, give them a try, but be prepared for some potential challenges!

If you're aiming for gaming performance with the 9800X3D, I'd suggest using just two sticks. Running four sticks can hinder your ability to reach high speeds since more sticks add complexity to the setup. You’ll likely find it easier to achieve the best speeds with a pair, and that will benefit your system's overall performance.

Totally agreed! More sticks might seem great for capacity, but for speed, two is definitely the way to go.

Honestly, unless you’re doing a lot of heavy multitasking, 128GB is overkill for most users. If you're just gaming, 64GB is more than enough. You might want to consider selling a set and going for performance rather than just capacity. Plus, dummy sticks can keep the aesthetics without the performance hit!

Right? I think many gamers won't even hit 32GB in regular use. Less RAM might be smarter if you're looking for performance.
