Should I Use Migration Assistant for My New Mac?

Hey everyone! I'm getting ready to upgrade from my 2019 MacBook Pro 13" with an Intel chip to a 15" MacBook Air with the M4 chip. I've heard some people recommend not using the Mac Migration Assistant and to start fresh instead, just transferring my documents and skipping the settings. If anyone has made this switch from Intel to Apple Silicon, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how easy the Migration Assistant was for you. Do you think going from a MacBook Pro to a MacBook Air could complicate things?

I migrated from a 2013 MacBook Air to a 2023 MacBook Pro using the Migration Assistant and had zero issues. It worked like a charm!

That's great to hear! Just to clarify, did it bring over all your regular files and documents as well? I used to just AirDrop everything back in the day, haha.
