I've got a 12TB Enterprise hard drive that's making some loud clicking noises when I use it, but Hard Disk Sentinel is reporting it at 100% health. I've always thought clicking sounds were a sign that something was wrong. Is this something I should be worried about?

That clicking sound might be the head actuator moving. Larger drives and enterprise-grade drives can be louder, but you should definitely keep backups just in case.
It's a good idea to have backups of all your important data since the clicking can indicate potential issues. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
Sometimes drives report health inaccurately, especially if they were used heavily for mining before being resold. I've seen some refurbished drives that had their SMART data wiped. Thank you for that explanation! I just realized this is an Amazon refurbished, so yeah, not feeling great about it.
The health stats you see often reflect issues like bad sectors or corruption, not necessarily physical mechanical problems. Just because it's showing 100% doesn’t mean everything is fine. Keep an eye on it!
Ahh, okay. Thanks!
It's not a question of if it will fail, but when it might. Stay prepared!
Already backed up. I just want to know better on the health status.
