I've got a bit of a tricky situation here. We have several remote users around the globe using Dell laptops that are struggling with Microsoft 365 applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The issue is that it takes way too long—sometimes several minutes—to open or save files from OneDrive or SharePoint. What's weird is that we're seeing this only for some Windows users; those on Mac seem unaffected. Plus, the web versions of these apps work perfectly fine, but our team prefers the desktop versions. This problem particularly crops up for users on their home networks, and switching to a mobile hotspot seems to fix it, but the slowdowns return when they get back home. We've reached out to Microsoft support, but they've been pretty unhelpful, so I'm hoping to explore different solutions here. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You might want to check if they have Dell Optimizer installed. It can cause major issues with Microsoft services. If it's on their machines, try uninstalling the "Dell Optimizer Service" and reboot. For a longer-term fix, see if Dell offers a cleaner version like ReadyImage without the bloat—it can really mess things up!
Totally agree—Dell Optimizer is more trouble than it’s worth. It’s better to remove it.
Another thing to try is disabling IPv6 on the network adapter. It can sometimes help with connectivity issues. See if that changes anything!
Got it! I’ll keep that in mind as another troubleshooting step. Appreciate the tip!
Interesting point! We did remove Dell Optimizer from some devices, but the problem didn't go away. I'll have to revisit this with the users and see how it works out.
