I've been having a tough time picking a Linux distribution that suits my needs. I love using KDE because of its customization options, but my experiences have been mixed. I really enjoyed EndeavourOS but found it lacking in app support since it's Arch-based. I tried to install KDE on Linux Mint, but it turned out to be buggy and didn't feel as smooth as EndeavourOS. Kubuntu also gave me some buggy vibes. I'm not using this for gaming or anything heavy, but I'd like to install essential stuff like my VPN without hassle. Any recommendations?

If it's your first venture, I would recommend starting with Ubuntu. It’s generally stable and looks great out of the box. Once you feel comfortable, you could always switch to a more customizable distro down the line, and try out others in a VM to see which suits you best without too much hassle.
Exactly, Endeavour comes with AUR which should cover a lot of software needs; I'm curious about what apps you had trouble finding.
Honestly, you said Kubuntu was buggy for you, but it's generally stable. You might find that installing it directly from their site instead of waiting for updates can help. If you're okay with trying something else, Ubuntu has a solid reputation for being user-friendly. You could also test out a few options like SparkyLinux or openSUSE with KDE, just to see what fits you better.
I used to think Mint was the best choice too, but I’ve switched to Bazzite lately and it's pretty polished!
Debian really has a solid foundation — if you learn it well, you'll be familiar with a lot of the Linux landscape!
Have you considered using Debian stable with KDE? It's super stable for both work and personal use, although you might need to do a bit of initial configuration. Alternatively, Fedora with KDE is also worth trying!
Are you saying you just downloaded the regular Debian and added KDE later? Is there a specific version for KDE?
Definitely agree with you, I've been using Debian with KDE for a while and it's a solid setup!
If you're after something with a wide range of software options, I'd suggest either Fedora KDE or even trying out Nobara if gaming interests you. Both are quite user-friendly and stable.
What types of apps are you looking to use? Knowing what you need can really help in figuring out a suitable distro since Endeavour might not support everything you're after.
What do you think was lacking in app support on EndeavourOS? I thought it had a pretty extensive package manager!
