I've made the leap to switch from Windows to Linux, specifically choosing Ubuntu as my new operating system. However, during the installation, I hit a snag where it notified me about Intel RST being enabled and that I need to turn it off. I checked my BIOS settings, but there's no reference to RST at all. I'm quite new to all of this, so I could really use some guidance on how to proceed.

You should try booting into your BIOS and look for anything that mentions RAID or similar options. You want to change that setting to AHCI instead. That should help you with the installation.

Just to add to that, the names can vary by BIOS. You might find it under terms like IRS, Intel Rapid Storage, or even RAID. What type of laptop or motherboard do you have? Knowing that could help us find the exact setting in your manual. Some BIOS also require you to set a password to reveal more options, so check that out too.
