I've run into a major problem with my PC and I really need some assistance. A few months ago, I had an issue with DNS connection that I managed to resolve after some trial and error. Unfortunately, after a recent restart, the same problem popped up again. I tried all the previous fixes, even rolling back some Windows updates, but nothing seemed to work. One update gave me an error about corrupted files, but I didn't note down the details.
To try to fix my Internet issues, I went ahead and reset my PC while in Safe Mode, but I didn't realize I needed to close other applications first. Now, I can't log in because my PIN has disappeared, and I need to set a new one, which requires an internet connection. However, I can't connect to the Internet at all; the only options on the taskbar are accessibility, power, and airplane mode. I've attempted various methods to restore my PC but can't get past this login issue due to the missing PIN. Any advice on how to regain access?

You might want to try entering "Safe Mode with Networking". Regular Safe Mode doesn't allow for internet access, so that could be a solution if you haven't already done so.
First off, can you tell me if this is a laptop or desktop? Also, what brand and model are you using? It sounds like you're missing the WiFi driver, especially if you had WiFi working before. You might need an Ethernet cable if it's a desktop. A quick workaround could be to enable USB internet sharing on your phone. That way, you can grab the drivers you need to get online.
It's a desktop. The model is MSI PRO 8760-P Wifi DDR4, and I'm running Windows 11. I'll try reaching out to a friend for a USB cable to test that out.
It sounds like you’ve tinkered a bit too much and might have messed up your Windows installation. Generally, uninstalling updates can lead to issues. If you've broken your system, you may need to do a clean installation of Windows. Before moving on, make sure to back up any important files you want to keep. If you're unsure how to back them up, let us know and we can guide you. Once that's sorted, follow this link for instructions on reinstalling Windows: https://rtech.support/installations/install-11/. If you still have DNS issues afterwards, provide specific details and any error messages you encounter.
Not sure how to back up my files since I can't connect to the internet. Would I need an external hard drive, and can I access my files if I'm logged out?

I attempted that, but it seems like that's when I ended up getting logged out after the reset.
