I recently installed Karere, a WhatsApp desktop client via Flatpak, and I'm running into a major issue with the text display. Here's a screenshot showing how the text looks: https://i.imgur.com/XoP9ydS.png. It's really difficult to read, and I'm hoping to find a fix. Additionally, if anyone knows a better client, I'd appreciate recommendations. I'm using Fedora 43 with the KDE edition and prefer not to use the browser client because I don't save cookies and don't want to log in every time.

Try running these commands in your terminal:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface font-hinting 'full'
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface font-antialiasing 'rgba'
Just remember to log out and back in after that. It helped me fix similar issues with fonts before!
You might want to try using ZapZap, which is another WhatsApp client. Some users have had better experiences with it, but keep in mind it may look similar to Karere.
Unfortunately, ZapZap has the same problem for me. I even used Betterbird from Flatpak, but it looks just as bad unless I set emails to plain text. I thought it might be due to Flatpak, but even switching to an AppImage didn’t help.
I’m not sure what browser you're using that doesn’t save cookies, but when I set up Firefox as a Progressive Web App (PWA), it retains my WhatsApp session just fine. I used to do the same with Brave before switching to Firefox for aesthetic reasons. Also, you can configure a separate profile for the PWA in Firefox to keep your main profile cookie-free!
By the way, I’m puzzled about your font issue on desktop apps too! 🤔
Just to clarify, I use Librewolf and it's intentional to not store cookies.
No worries! Your tone wasn’t rude. I totally get that sometimes the text can come off differently than intended.

I gave that a shot, but sadly it didn't work. Still experiencing the same problems.
