Struggling with Microsoft Teams Exploratory License Issue

Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating experience with Microsoft related to Teams licenses. I recently created a new Microsoft tenant and set up several users with Microsoft 365 E5 subscriptions. However, these users also have Business Basic licenses, and now they're being prompted with a Teams Exploratory Trial message when they log in. The warning states that they will lose access to Teams once the trial expires, which is annoying since I thought Teams was free regardless of the licensing setup. Just so you know, the business preferred this particular setup. Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated!

It seems that there's been a change in how Microsoft bundles Teams with its licenses. Previously, it was included with certain licenses, but due to an EU ruling, it’s now sold separately. This might be causing the confusion you're seeing with your new licenses. Normally, older licenses would still have Teams included, but new ones require Teams as a paid add-on. It's definitely frustrating, right?

Yeah, it’s a mess! I totally get your pain. Licensing from MS can be super confusing, especially with all the different options out there. It always feels like there’s missing information when you need clarity the most.

Seriously! I can't even with Microsoft sometimes. Why can't they just keep things simple?
