I've been using Debian for almost two years now and I'm considering making the switch to Fedora. Are there any downsides I should be aware of before I take the plunge?

Honestly, I say just go for it! Switching to Fedora can be a great experience. Just remember to back up your data first.
One thing to keep in mind is that Fedora's OS versions are only supported for about a year after their release. Unlike Debian, which has longer support, you'll find yourself upgrading Fedora every six months or so. However, with modern hardware and a fast internet connection, these updates won't take long—definitely not like the old days where you'd spend a whole weekend upgrading!
I think you'll be just fine with Fedora! It's a solid choice and pretty well-rounded. Once you get used to how to install programs and perform updates differently than Debian, it becomes super easy to manage.
Just don't rush it! It can be a bit of a transition.
