Hey everyone! I'm getting ready to upgrade my PC setup and I have some specific components in mind that I'm pretty set on. Currently, I have a GTX 1070 and a Ryzen 7 1700, but I'm looking to move up to something a bit more powerful. Here's what I'm planning:
- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D AM5
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 GAMING OC 16G
- Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2
- Corsair DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 6000 CL30 Vengeance RGB
- Antec Performance 1 FT case
- Super Flower Leadex V Pro 850W PCIE 5.1 Platinum power supply
- Samsung SSD 2.0TB 990 PRO NVMe
I'd really love some feedback on whether this build is solid or if there are any areas I should reconsider. Thanks in advance for your help!

I think the motherboard is fine for what you’re planning. It shouldn't hinder your setup too much. Just make sure it plays nice with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D!
Honestly, your build looks great, but that motherboard feels a bit out of place with such high-end components. Maybe consider upgrading to a PCIe 5.0 B850 for better compatibility? Just a thought!
Good point! The B650 isn't bad, but B850 could give you better performance long-term.
Thanks! Do you know if it’s compatible with my CPU?
