Hey everyone, I just put together a new build to celebrate a big milestone! It features an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor and an XFX Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card, with the aim of mainly gaming at 1440p. Here's my complete part list:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 3.9 GHz 6-Core Processor
- Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC12ST5_DBK01
- Motherboard: MSI PRO B850M-P WIFI Micro ATX
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB DDR5-6000
- GPU: XFX Mercury OC RGB V2 Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB
- Case: Phanteks XT M3 MicroATX Mid Tower
- Power Supply: SeaSonic Focus GX V4 1000 W
- Case Fans: Phanteks M25G2-120 D-RGB 3-Pack
The total price comes out to around $1448.95. I'm a bit over my intended budget, but I felt the upgrade from a Radeon RX 9060 XT to the 9070 XT was worth it. I'm planning to reuse my current SSD and M.2 storage. I'm also curious about the case size; I want something smaller without sacrificing cooling. What do you think? Are these parts compatible and a good choice for my needs? Thanks!

I think going for the 9070 XT is definitely a solid choice! Your build looks good overall, but some folks might suggest saving a bit on the PSU. You could consider a Montech Century Gold ATX 3.1 at 1200W for around $125, which would be a great deal. Just something to think about!
Honestly, I think you might have overpaid for a few components like the cooler, memory, GPU, and PSU. But hey, the case choice is really up to your taste, so that's fine. If you're curious, you can look at my build for some alternative options on PCPartPicker.
Thanks for sharing your feedback! I'll definitely check out your build.
Thanks for the tip! I aimed for an A-rated PSU according to tier lists, but I’ll check out the Montech!
