Hey everyone! I'm looking for some help to boost my laptop's performance for Chrome tasks. I primarily use it for blogging and research—juggling around 10 to 15 tabs at a time while also using extensions like Grammarly. Lately, my laptop has been lagging, especially with multiple tabs open. Here are my laptop specs: Intel Core i5-7200U CPU, 8 GB of RAM, running either Windows 10 or 11—and I want to know if there are ways to tweak settings or upgrade components to enhance performance. I've already cleared the cache, disabled unused extensions, and closed background applications. What do you all recommend? Thanks!

Consider swapping out the HDD for an SSD if you haven't already. It can significantly speed up your laptop. Also, Chrome is a memory hog, so you might want to try using Edge instead—it tends to use less RAM. Upgrading to 16GB of RAM would also definitely help!
I think the main issue you're facing is the 8GB of RAM. Chrome can be really demanding when you have lots of tabs open and extensions running. If your laptop allows for it, upgrading the RAM could make a big difference!
I guess it is upgradable!
Thanks for the advice!
