Tips for My Upcoming Broadcom Interview

Hey everyone! I've got an onsite interview with Broadcom coming up in just a week for a SWEII Dev Ops position, and I'm feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. The interview will run from 9 am to 4 pm, including a lunch session. I've been out of work since February, so I'm really hoping to nail this one.

After my initial conversation with them, I was surprised to hear back the same night with positive news, which is a good sign! They've mentioned that the technical part of the interview could cover a wide range of computer science topics—everything from basic programming concepts to development best practices. I might also be given some on-the-spot scenarios to solve under pressure, which sounds pretty intense but exciting too. They encouraged me to ask questions for clarification, which helps.

I'm seeking some advice—has anyone gone through an interview with Broadcom before? I've never specifically worked in a Dev Ops role, but I've always aimed to automate processes and improve efficiency in my previous job at a defense company, where many things were still being done manually. Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, the key is to stay relaxed and engage actively during the interview. Listen carefully to the questions, and don’t hesitate to ask for clarification if anything is unclear. It's okay to think out loud while solving problems, that shows your thought process! Best of luck!

I interviewed with Broadcom a couple of years ago, and I was close to landing the job. The interview had a mix of recursive problem-solving questions along with general Kubernetes and AWS inquiries. It wasn't super difficult, but they might focus on how you handle technical challenges. Keep your cool and showcase how you approach problems!
