I've been tasked with finding ways to reduce our company's Azure spending, but I'm still getting up to speed since I just started here a couple of months ago. What tools or methods have you all used to track expenses and cut costs effectively? I've already explored Azure Advisor, but I'm looking for additional hacks or tips to make the process quicker and more efficient. Thanks for your help!

Just a heads-up about Azure Advisor: it's not always spot-on. While you can tweak some settings, it sometimes recommends Reserved Instances based on a 7-day usage period. You might want to base decisions on a 30-day overview instead. Also, consider the Azure FinOps Toolkit where you can set up a hub to analyze costs down to resource group level using Blob Storage and Power BI.
I've been developing a tool for Azure that's in beta right now. It has a lot of cost management features and I'm looking for feedback. If you're interested, you can find out more and reach out through my website. I’d love to help you optimize your costs!
Before jumping into technical fixes, make sure you've got your contractual SLAs documented and prioritize your deliverables. Reducing costs isn't too hard, but doing it without impacting reliability can be challenging. Careful about just shutting down services—you might not know what they are connected to!
Check out the FinOps framework! It's a really handy free tool that can help you get started on managing your Azure costs better.
Awesome, thanks! I'll definitely look into this!

Oh nice! This looks great. I'll reach out to you about it.
