We're closing one of our offshore operations and need to ship hardware from Mexico to Peru. Has anyone here experienced a similar situation? I'm looking for suggestions on how to handle this process effectively.

Shipping hardware is generally straightforward as long as everything is properly secured. It's important to encrypt the data or, if possible, wipe the devices locally. Just keep in mind that without local IT support, you'll need to have a solid plan in place for handling the equipment at both ends.

Got it, thanks for the advice! We mainly hosted these computers at our call center.

I haven't handled shipments specifically between Mexico and Peru, but shipping in general often uses services like FedEx or specialized vendors for hardware. What exactly are you trying to figure out for the shipping process?

I'm trying to decide between using a courier service or a vendor for the shipment. What's usually recommended?

Always check your vendor's shipping and usage agreements before moving hardware. There may be trade restrictions or other regulations you need to follow to ensure a smooth delivery. I've shipped items internationally and usually let my logistics team manage the details, so that could be a route to explore if it’s new hardware.

Great suggestion! I’ll definitely ask our vendor about direct shipping options.
