Why Are My PC Fans Blowing Air in Opposite Directions?

I recently got a new PC case, the Ease ec123b pro, which came with three identical fans from the same brand. I noticed that one fan is pushing air in the standard direction towards the frame, while the other two are blowing air in the opposite direction. I even tested this out with some tissue paper, and there are no guide arrows on the fans to clarify their airflow direction. Is this a defect, or am I possibly setting them up incorrectly? Thanks for your help!

It's actually pretty common for fan setups to vary like this in PC builds. Many cases are designed to have a specific airflow configuration. If the temperatures in your system are stable, you likely don't have an issue. You can check online for optimal fan arrangements for your case if you're concerned, but it sounds like your setup is on the right track with one fan pushing air in and the others pulling it out.

To optimize airflow, you might want to set up your fans like this from left to right: exhaust, intake, intake. This way, you'll ensure that fresh air flows directly to your CPU cooler. If you have any doubts about switching them around, it’s pretty straightforward and might improve your cooling.

Just a heads up, since all three fans are the same model but are blowing in opposite directions, it could be a manufacturing quirk. If you're not satisfied with the current airflow, it’s worth trying out different positions to see what works best for you.
