Hey everyone! I built my gaming PC about four years ago, and I haven't done any upgrades since then. I'm looking to enhance my gaming experience, especially since I've been playing Dune Awakening and it's made me realize my setup could use some help. Here are my current specs:

- Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics
- Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550M-A ATX AM4
- RAM: 32 GB
- Storage: 1 TB SSD

I'd love any suggestions you have for upgrades under $500. I'm open to creative solutions!

First off, what's your monitor's resolution? That'll help determine whether you need a better GPU or if it’s worth upgrading your system in other areas. If you're at 1080p and wanting to boost frame rates, your GPU might be the first upgrade to consider. Just keep in mind that some games, like Dune Awakening, are known to be poorly optimized, so an upgrade might not yield a huge improvement in those cases.

It sounds like your CPU might be the bottleneck, especially since you’re trying to run at around 160 fps. If you're not already rocking a high-end GPU, that'll be crucial for performance. You could potentially grab a good deal on a used one or wait for sales. Also, if you're considering a monitor upgrade down the line, that could be a game changer too!

Depending on how intense you want the upgrade, remember that your 32 GB of RAM is pretty solid, so you're already on the right track there. If you stick with the AMD ecosystem, consider looking at an AMD Ryzen upgrade that fits your motherboard. It might help balance the performance a bit better for the games you're playing.
