I have a laptop that currently runs Windows 7 and Raspbian in a dual-boot configuration. I'm considering replacing Raspbian with Linux Lite and would love some guidance on how to do this effectively.

You have a couple of options. If you're comfortable with flashing, you can download the Linux Lite ISO, flash it to a USB drive, and boot from that to install it. Alternatively, if you'd rather use an SD card, you can flash Linux Lite onto that and boot up your laptop from it!
You'll want to delete the Raspbian partition first before installing Linux Lite. If you're unsure how to do that, you can use a partition manager during the Linux Lite setup.
Just out of curiosity, what features are you hoping to get from Linux Lite that Raspbian doesn't offer? I’ve been using antiX on my old laptop lately, and it's been running pretty smoothly; I'm curious about your reasons for choosing Linux Lite.
To switch from Raspbian to Linux Lite, start by plugging in your Linux Lite installer. During the installation process, when you reach the formatting section, simply remove the Raspbian installation and allocate that space for Linux Lite. It’s pretty straightforward!
