My main issue is that while I'm trying to watch videos on YouTube, my computer lags significantly. I suspect it's related to the graphics drivers. I attempted to install Nvidia drivers directly from their website, but I couldn't get it to work. My GPU is a GT210, which I know is quite outdated, and I'm beginning to wonder if my computer is simply too old to handle Linux well.

It's generally not a good idea to use the Nvidia installer from their site on Linux. Instead, your distribution's package manager should have the necessary Nvidia drivers. Since you have a GT210, you might not find support for it anymore, and you could have to resort to using the default open-source nouveau drivers. Try looking for an 'additional drivers' tool in your Mint settings to see if it can recommend anything for your GPU.
I think I installed the nouveau drivers? I downloaded them but I’m not sure how to proceed with the installation. I also tried the command line, but I keep getting errors. I looked in ‘additional drivers,’ but it just states that everything is up to date.
