Trouble Booting Linux After Forced Shutdown

Hey everyone, I'm having a serious issue with my Linux system. I abruptly shut down my computer by holding the power button for about 20 seconds. Since then, my Linux won't boot up properly. When I try to start it normally, I see this error message: "/dev/nvme1n1p2; clean, X/Y files, A/B blocks run-init can't execute '/sbin/init': No such file or directory." I also attempted to go into recovery mode, but all I see are lines that end with "Begin: Running /scripts/local-bottom ... done." and "Begin: Running /scripts/init-bottom ... done." Has anyone run into a similar issue or does anyone have advice on how to fix this? I really appreciate your help!

Could you share which Linux distribution you're using? Also, was automatic updating enabled? This kind of issue shouldn't happen, but it sounds like you might have interrupted an update by shutting it down. What led to you force-shutdown the PC? Were you facing any problems beforehand?

Try running a command through a tool like ChatGPT with details about your distro and storage devices. It could help you get your system running again, and you'd learn a valuable troubleshooting skill in the process!
