Trouble Booting with All Four RAM Sticks After BIOS Update

I'm having a puzzling issue with my PC setup. I have a 13700k processor paired with a Gigabyte z790 motherboard, and for the past three years, my system has been running smoothly with 4x 16GB DDR5-6000 RAM. About a week ago, I updated the motherboard's BIOS and now I'm unable to get a POST with all four RAM sticks installed. The DRAM indicator light is on, but when I try booting with just one kit of RAM, it works fine. I've tested both RAM kits in various slots individually, and they boot without any problems. However, whenever I put all four sticks back in, it fails to POST.

I've rolled back the BIOS and reset the CMOS, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas on why this issue started or what I should troubleshoot next?

First thing to check is your XMP setting in the BIOS. Adjusting that could resolve your POST issue.

I tried, but it won't even get to BIOS with all four sticks in.

Honestly, it's usually a good idea to hold off on BIOS updates unless there’s a significant reason. If things were running smoothly before, I wouldn't mess with it just because a new version is available. Good luck sorting it out!

I usually stick to that rule, but I was trying to stay updated with the latest CPU microcode to prevent issues with the 13th gen.

From what I'm understanding, it seems like you can't pinpoint a faulty RAM stick since both RAM kits work fine separately. It might be a BIOS setting that’s gone haywire. Try booting with one kit and investigating the BIOS settings from there.

I'll give that a shot. By the way, I haven’t changed any RAM settings in the BIOS before this started.
