Trouble Connecting Roku TV to Windows 10 PC

I'm having an issue where my Roku TV won't display anything from my Windows 10 PC. This is happening both at home and at church, and I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with my PC itself since the TV recognizes it but shows no display. The HDMI cable works fine with other devices, and I've tried multiple HDMI ports on the TV. Interestingly, I can cast my screen over Wi-Fi and that works, but I really prefer using the HDMI connection. Any ideas on what might be going wrong?

Have you checked if the TV appears in your computer's display settings once it's connected? Sometimes it helps to make sure everything is recognized properly there.

Make sure you're selecting the right display setting on your PC. Try setting it to 'duplicate' display. Also, does your laptop work with other TVs or monitors? This could help narrow down the issue.

Yeah, it shows up in the display settings on my PC. The weird part is that the TV says nothing is connected.

That does sound odd. It might be something specific with how Roku TVs handle HDMI inputs. It’s worth trying different HDMI settings on the TV as well!
