Trouble Connecting to the Internet on Android with MAC Randomization Enabled

Hey everyone! I have MAC randomization turned on for my Android device, and today I ran into a problem. I can't connect to the Internet anymore, and I keep getting an error message saying I couldn't find an IP address. When I turn off the randomization and use my phone's actual MAC address, it works just fine. Unfortunately, I can't access the router settings to troubleshoot this further. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I totally get how frustrating that is! It seems like the router isn't playing nice with your randomized MAC address and isn't handing out an IP. You might want to try resetting your network settings on your phone. Go into your phone's settings, do a reset, and reconnect to Wi-Fi. If the issue persists, it usually points to the router's end rather than your phone. Hang in there!

It sounds like the router might be set to only allow devices with specific MAC addresses, which is why you're having trouble when randomization is enabled. Unfortunately, accessing the router settings is usually the go-to for fixing this. However, since you can't do that, try turning off the Wi-Fi on your phone, forgetting the network, and then reconnecting while keeping MAC randomization on. This could reset the connection and help you out. Good luck!

Just out of curiosity, why can't you access the router settings? Knowing that might help get to the bottom of this.

I get it, but I really just can't. My parents manage the password for the router.
