I just upgraded my CPU from an i5 12600k to an i9 14900k, but now my computer won't post. I've already updated the BIOS and cleared the CMOS. I haven't moved the RAM because it worked fine with the i5, so I assumed it shouldn't be a problem, but maybe I was wrong. Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: PRIME z690-P WIFI D4
- BIOS Version: 3811
- Management Engine: 16.1.35.2557
The system still works perfectly with the i5. When I try to post with the i9, the fans on both the CPU and GPU spin, but there's no post. Any suggestions?

It's possible you could have bent a pin on the i9. That said, since your i5 is working flawlessly, it seems unlikely. But a bent pin could theoretically allow the i5 to work while causing issues with the i9. Take a good look at the CPU for any damage.
First off, double-check that your motherboard supports the i9 14900k—it's listed as compatible but it's good to verify. Also, make sure all your PSU cables are securely connected, including any power to the motherboard. And don't forget to check that the power switch is set to ON! Sometimes, ESD (electrostatic discharge) can cause issues when upgrading components, so handle everything with care, especially if you were touching the motherboard directly.
