Hey everyone! I've downloaded the latest version of Linux Mint and followed their installation guide, but I'm running into an issue when trying to boot from a USB flash drive. The error message I receive is 'mmx64.efi not found.' I've already formatted the flash drive and re-downloaded the ISO file, and I made sure to disable secure boot, but nothing seems to work. I have Windows installed on my laptop and have set up a 100 GB partition for Linux. My laptop model is an HP Victus, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've tried several different distros before settling on Linux Mint, and I run into boot issues all the time. When I first switched, none of them would boot initially. I did find that Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and Zorin booted without a hitch for me, though. Maybe give Ubuntu a shot if you're still having issues with Mint.
It sounds like you're stuck at the USB boot step. Can you clarify if the installation process itself begins successfully, or do you get the error right from booting? Also, double-check that your secure boot is indeed turned off before trying again.
I'm in the same boat! I noticed that certain hardware combinations can create compatibility issues. Right now, I'm downloading Ubuntu just to see if that works better for my setup.
You might want to verify the checksum of the ISO you downloaded. It’s possible that the file got corrupted somehow during the download. A mismatched checksum can lead to issues like the one you're facing.
