I'm having a tough time installing Ubuntu Server. When I select the 'Try and Install Ubuntu' option, it gets stuck at an EFI message that says, 'EFI stub: measured initrd data into PCR 9'. I'm using a USB stick to install it, following the guidelines from the official site with Rufus. The PC is a brand new Supermicro workstation. I've turned off secure boot, set SATA to AHCI, and tried adding 'nomodeset' after the '---' in the boot options. I also switched from a 4K monitor to a regular HD monitor, but none of these fixes worked. Any suggestions?

Just curious why you're specifically going for Ubuntu Server? If you're open to alternatives, you might want to consider a more balanced distro like Q4OS. It could provide a smoother experience for your needs.
You could try using a different USB creation tool. Rufus sometimes defaults to an ISO mode that might cause freezes, especially with server boards. Switching to another tool like Etcher or UNetbootin could help you avoid this boot issue.
Have you checked the checksum of the downloaded ISO? Sometimes, corrupted files can cause installation issues. Also, trying to boot using a different Linux distribution could help narrow down the problem. If it's hanging at that point, it might not be a direct error with Ubuntu itself. You might also want to enable legacy boot in your BIOS settings; that often resolves compatibility issues with installation.
