I'm having a real issue trying to install Zorin OS on my machine alongside Windows. The installer takes ages—like 3 hours on my last try. Once it finishes and I restart, the computer refuses to boot properly. If I unplug the USB, it boots straight into Windows instead. To make matters worse, the USB drive ends up completely corrupted each time, even after trying several different ones. Does anyone have any insights on what might be going wrong?

First off, check if Fast Boot is enabled in Windows—this can mess with dualbooting. Also, take a look at your BIOS boot order to make sure Zorin is prioritized. Sometimes Windows tries to take control, so it’s good to verify that it’s set correctly.
Zorin shouldn't take more than an hour to install unless something's not right with your hardware. Make sure you’re booting the installer USB in UEFI mode and check if the drive is actually recognized by the BIOS. Running it through the terminal can sometimes help you catch any errors.
If the USB is getting corrupted, it could be that Windows is being fussy about the Linux partitions on the drive. Have you tried making the USB a fresh FAT32 format using tools like Rufus or the built-in USB tool? Also, if you're using a smaller USB, the educational version might not fit—consider getting a 32GB or larger.
