I recently purchased an AirTag to keep track of my work bag, but I'm having some issues. The location feature doesn't always work with the Find My app, and I don't receive notifications when I leave the AirTag behind. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?

It sounds like you might need to check your settings for separation alerts. If you're not getting notifications, make sure location services are enabled for the Find My app. You can find information on configuring these alerts in the Apple support documentation.
I've done everything as instructed and still haven't received any alerts about leaving it behind. My AirPods have notified me just fine, but the AirTag never does. I'm really confused about why it's not working!
