Trouble with Boot Device Selection After Case Swap

I just switched my components into a new case but I'm encountering a 'reboot and select proper boot device' error. Everything was running fine less than a day ago. My setup includes an SSD for booting and an HDD for extra storage. I've tried booting with just the SSD, just the HDD, and both connected, but I keep hitting that error. All I disconnected during the swap were the I/O cables to the motherboard, fans, and main power supply cables. I'm considering redownloading Windows later to see if that resolves it. Has anyone faced a similar issue and found a solution?

I was also wondering if my SSD had the OS, since I set it up to boot from both the SSD and HDD. After giving it a thought, I realized the HDD might actually have the OS installed on it, which could be causing some confusion during boot.

First thing to check is your UEFI settings. Make sure the correct boot device is selected and that the drive with your OS is listed as the first option. You might want to see if your SSD is showing up in the BIOS. If it is, try unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Also, check the SSD's M.2 slot in the motherboard manual—it might be disabled if certain SATA or PCIe slots are occupied. If neither of those works, you could use a live Linux USB to check if the EFI partition is set up correctly on your SSD.
