I've got a bit of a problem with my new computer setup. I've recently assembled my PC with an ASUS ROG Strix B450F motherboard, and it's got two HP SSDs (120GB for the OS and 500GB) along with a 1TB WD Blue hard drive. After moving everything into a new Lian Li 217 case, I added a 1TB SN850x M.2 SSD. However, when I plug in the M.2, my system blue screens and shows an error indicating a need for a new boot device (I think the code was something like 0XC000000f). If I disconnect the M.2, I still encounter blue screens, but the issue resolves when I remove the hard drive. Interestingly, when the hard drive is connected, everything works fine. The HDD is plugged into SATA 2, and the SSDs are into SATA 4 and 6. I've read that plugging the M.2 into the upper port disables SATA lanes 5 and 6, so I tried the lower M.2 port, but the blue screen issue persists. Any suggestions?

It sounds like your BIOS might be prioritizing the M.2 as the boot device, which could be why you're facing these blue screens. Try using the boot menu key specific to your motherboard during startup to select the correct boot device (in your case, that would be the hard drive). Once you successfully boot into Windows, you’ll be able to format the M.2 SSD and sort out any compatibility issues.
Totally get your struggle. It seems like the BIOS is acting weird with the drives. Maybe there’s an update for the BIOS that could help it recognize all your drives better.

My Windows is on the 120GB SSD. If I plug the M.2, it causes a blue screen even though it's empty. I can't even check the BIOS properly because it only shows the 500GB SSD and the 1TB HDD but misses the 120GB when the M.2 is connected.
