I have a few RAM sticks that I'm trying to figure out how to organize. I received two 32 GB sticks and two 16 GB sticks, all running at 6000 MHz, but I'm unsure how to set them up correctly. Should I place the two 32 GB sticks in one channel and the two 16 GB sticks in another? Is this configuration even going to work smoothly? I'm in tech support, so I feel like I should know this, but I can't find the answer anywhere!

You should ideally put the identical RAM sticks in the same channel for the best performance. Typically, you would pair them in slots like 1+3 and 2+4. This way, the system recognizes the RAM properly and utilizes the dual-channel configuration. Mixing different sizes like that can work, but you might not get optimal performance from the 16 GB sticks alongside the 32 GB ones.
Just keep in mind that while it’s technically possible to use mismatched RAM sizes, it can lead to complications. If your motherboard supports it, it might configure the RAM for you, but you might end up running in single-channel mode for the mismatched sticks, which could slow things down a bit.
