I'm having a strange issue with my PC that started a few days ago. Initially, it wouldn't boot properly, displaying either no output or just a white line when I pressed the power button. After rearranging some cables and the RAM, I managed to get it to boot, though it took several seconds to power on. Now, though it boots fine, I'm facing random problems where certain applications and functions stop working after the PC has been idle or lightly used. I can't open anything new like File Explorer or system settings, and sometimes I can't even access the command prompt. The only way to restart is through a hard shutdown. When I reboot, everything seems fine for a while. I've checked the SSD and HDD for issues, ran memory diagnostics, and used commands like sfc /scannow, but nothing has improved. I'm starting to suspect it might be a power supply issue. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this further? My motherboard is a B460M Pro.

It sounds like you have a clear fix in mind; just watch for any changes when you tweak settings in the BIOS.
Have you tried unplugging the power cord and holding the power button for ten seconds? It might sound odd, but sometimes it resets things in a helpful way. Give it a shot and see if that helps!
Check the Microsoft docs for any known issues. I heard there were some recent problems related to waking from sleep. However, since your issue happens even while doing light tasks, it could be something else entirely.
Thanks for the tip! I looked it up, but it seems my problem isn’t just related to waking up from sleep.

I'll try that and let you know!
