I recently formatted my laptop and reinstalled Windows 11. Since then, every time I restart or shut down and turn my PC back on, I get the error, "something happened and your pin isn't available, click to setup your pin again." Initially, I kept resetting my PIN through my Microsoft account after each restart. I watched some videos and went into the Windows Recovery Environment to make some changes that allowed me to log in with my password instead. However, the PIN issue persists and becomes unavailable after every restart, even if I try to reset it repeatedly. I've also attempted to modify the registry settings for "DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion" based on a tutorial, but that didn't help either. Any suggestions on what I could do next?

Have you thought about disabling the PIN option altogether in your settings? You could just use a password instead. It might save you the hassle since the PIN issue seems persistent.

That's what I'm doing now, but the PIN feels more convenient since it's just 5-6 digits. I've been using it for years, and my OCD wants to fix the issue!
