Troubleshooting Random Shutdowns and BSOD Issues

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind with my PC. For the past week, it's been randomly shutting down and giving me the Blue Screen of Death. I took it to a shop, and the technician said my CPU was overheating, so they installed new fans and updated the motherboard, CPU, GPU, and drivers. But even after that, I'm still facing crashes with games like Valorant and Battlefield 6, both of which are showing corrupt file issues. From what I've gathered, this might be due to a faulty power supply. Could anyone advise me on how to confirm this or help troubleshoot further? I don't want to waste more money replacing parts without being sure. I can share logs from Event Viewer if needed — just let me know how! I've included a link to the minidump file below if that helps.

I don't have details on your setup, but if your PSU is about 6 years old and hasn’t been replaced, it might be time for an upgrade. With a Ryzen 7 5800X3D and 2070 Super, you need a good-quality PSU to handle the load. A failing power supply can lead to all sorts of issues, including crashing and corrupt files. I would suggest looking into a replacement or at least testing your current one if possible.

To properly analyze the BSODs, you'll need to get your minidump files. If you can boot into Windows normally or through Safe Mode, check the C:WindowsMinidump folder for any crash logs. If you find them, you can zip the folder and upload it to a file-sharing site like MediaFire or Catbox. Multiple dump files are better for analysis, so if you only have one, try to follow a guide to adjust your settings for Small Memory Dumps. You want to make sure your settings are correct so you can capture more info in case of future crashes.

What's the make and model of your power supply? And how old is it? If it's been in use for the entire lifespan of your PC, that could definitely be a contributor to the issues. A failing PSU can lead to random shutdowns, especially under load. Letting us know these details can help narrow down the problem.
