Trying to Install Linux on My Netbook, But It Keeps Freezing

Hey folks! I've got an HP detachable netbook (model 10-n106nl) that I've been underutilizing because Windows just runs poorly on it, plus it only has 32GB of eMMC storage. I thought installing a Linux distro would be a great solution, but I'm having a tough time. Every OS I try besides Windows ends up freezing or crashing after about 10-20 minutes, despite some decent performance. I've tested a few distros like Mint, Zorin, and MX Linux, but no luck. I even attempted Chrome OS Flex and FydeOS without success. The netbook has an Intel x5-z8300 processor and 2GB of RAM. Does anyone have any ideas on what's going wrong? I really want to get this little gadget back in action!

You might want to give Debian with the LXQt ISO a shot. It's pretty lightweight and could work better for your netbook's specs.

With only 2GB of RAM, you should definitely look for a very lightweight Linux distribution. It's likely that the freezing is due to running a heavier OS than your hardware can handle.
