I recently encountered a really concerning issue with my iOS device. While I was texting a friend, I noticed that a group chat mentioned my screen was being shared during a FaceTime call, even though I wasn't actively in the call at that time. I joined the call to investigate, and the screen sharing notification stopped, but my friends confirmed they could see my texts. After leaving the group chat and FaceTime, the issue occurred again. I rejoined and it stopped once more. We tried a couple of times, and even after I restarted my phone, which they mentioned they saw turning on and off. I'm totally perplexed by this and worried about my privacy since it seems like my device can start sharing my screen without my consent. Can anyone help me figure this out?

What specific app were you using when this happened? I know sometimes certain messaging apps can behave oddly if there are updates or bugs involved. Might help narrow things down!
This sounds like a serious bug! You might want to reach out to Apple support ASAP to report this—if it's a glitch, it definitely needs to be addressed. It's concerning that your phone can share your screen without you even knowing!
Yeah, I'm thinking about calling them. I really don't want to accidentally share anything sensitive!

I was on iMessage. It was sharing to a group chat without me ever opening the call!
