Upgrade Recommendations for My GTX 1650

I'm looking to upgrade my aging GTX 1650 and need some advice on what to get. Currently, I have a GIGABYTE GTX 1650 Windforce OC paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X and a Gigabyte B450M-K motherboard, along with 16GB of ADATA XPG DDR4 RAM. I enjoy playing sandbox and fight-based games, particularly those with asymmetrical gameplay. Here in northwestern Africa, prices for components are a bit steeper, with the RTX 4070 Super priced around $750. Considering that, my budget is approximately $400 (which I can stretch to $450) for a GPU. I usually game at 1080p, though I have a 4K monitor as well. I'd prefer an AMD card for better Linux compatibility, but I'm open to Nvidia options too.

If you can find one, a used RX 6700 XT with 12GB would be a solid choice. In the U.S., it goes for about $250-275, so it might fit your budget in your area. It's a great card for 1080p gaming and a decent option for 1440p too!

The market here is pretty small, so finding that model might be tough. Any good Nvidia options I should consider?

How about the RX 7600 XT? It's similar to the RTX 4060 performance-wise, and it should fit your budget since the 9060XT is too pricey. If you can stretch just a bit more, the 7700 XT might be worth considering; it performs between the 4060 Ti and the 4070.

Finding those AMD GPUs has been a challenge in my area right now. The 4060 Ti (8GB) is listed at $438, but I've heard mixed things about its 8GB VRAM—should I be worried about that?

You might want to check for a used RTX 3070 or 3080, but make sure your power supply can handle it. Those cards perform well at 1080p and can push into 1440p if you're gaming at high settings.

Power supply isn't an issue, I can easily upgrade that if needed.

What's the going rate for a 9060XT these days? I'm not too familiar with the current prices.

Last I checked, it's around $554.

I use a Ryzen 5 5600X and recently upgraded to a 6750XT for 1440p gaming—I'd suggest aiming for a 9060XT with 16GB if it's within your budget. It performs really well. I'm on a B450 motherboard and have 32GB of RAM, so the setup works nicely for me.

Unfortunately, the 9060XT is about $554, which is too steep for me right now.
